Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I want to know that if rain started to fall when Jumuah azan is proclaimed What should we do? Should we go to masjid to offer prayer or should we stay at home? (And if we stay at home), what should we offer? 4 obligatory rakahs of Zuhr prayer or 2 obligatory rakahs of Jummah? A rainy day, Ibn 'Abbaas said to the mu'adhdhin:
"After you have said: "Ashhadu anna Muhammdar Raduulullaah" don't say: "Hayya 'Alaas-Salaah", rather say: "Salluu fee Buyuutikum (Pray in your houses)". The people noticed this and he (Ibn 'Abbaas) said: "One who is better than me did this. Friday is a honorable day, and I didn't want you to take you through hardships and make you walk through clay and dirt."
(Sahih Muslim, CHAPTER: PRAYING IN HOUSES WHEN IT RAINS, No. 1491)
From This Hadith we can get the Conclusion that if rain falls at time of Jummah Salah then we can pray at home.
